Privacy

The short version: what you type into the date calculators stays on your device.

The dates and names you enter

Every calculation on the date calculators happens in your browser. The dates and names you enter are not sent toNovaGifted or to anyone else, and there are no accounts.

So that your result is there when you come back, the page keeps your last entry for each calculator in your browser’s local storage. It stays on that device and in that browser. “Clear and start over” on any calculator removes it, as does clearing your browser’s site data.

Links you share

When a result is showing, the page address ends with what you entered, for example the date and a name, after a # sign. That is what lets a shared link open the same result. Browsers keep the part after the # to themselves, so it does not reach our server either. Anyone you send the link to can see those details, so share it only with people you are happy to show them to.

Calendar reminders and images

The calendar file and the image are made in your browser and saved straight to your device. Choosing Google Calendar opens Google’s own site with the event filled in; from that point Google’s privacy policy applies.

Cookies and tracking

The date calculator pages set no cookies and run no advertising or analytics scripts. The gift finder and gift guides elsewhere on NovaGifted use Google Analytics to count visits. If you follow a link from a calculator to the gift finder, that visit is counted there, without the dates or names you entered here.
